So I got this to replace a hatchet and a limb saw. It is lighter than the original hatchet I was using and with the saw in the handle and striker it a good all around tool. I use it for backpacking when weight is everything. The Saw is a little hard to get use too but it does its job. The Axe it perfect I use it for hammer and to split small logs with the pitch on it seems to split well. Haven't used the striker but my guess is that its only a good back up. I cut the carry loop off the top just to save on ounces and to fit in my pack easier. the belt loop is handy when you get to camp and cut up some wood to take back just hook it on and load your arms. I give it a 4 star only because great thought and great all around for the money, however Axe seems to be the only solid structure. I am going to put it thru the gamut beat it up to see how much it can handle. Thanks,

Took this on a week-long backpacking trip in a densely forested area. This was an absolutely invaluable item. Both the axe and saw are super sharp and held their edge. We used both every day to cut knee-high piles of fallen branches with zero problems. An excellent product at an excellent price. Also, we really liked the belt loop on the axe cover. So handy!
